"The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency prepared this Community Involvement Plan to inform, engage and support the community affected by the North Bronson Industrial Area and North Bronson Industrial Subareas, also referred to as North Bronson Former Facilities Superfund sites, located in Bronson, Michigan. Our community involvement program is committed to promoting effective and meaningful communication between the public and the Agency. We want to make sure the community's concerns and information needs are considered as activities at the sties progress. This CIP was prepared to support environmental investigation and cleanup activities at the North Bronson Industrial Area and North Bronson Industrial Subareas. We used several information sources to develop this plan, including research, discussions with community members and information gathered during community interviews. We spoke with 15 residents and local elected officials from the City of Bronson and Branch County who are interested in the sites' activities and cleanup efforts"--Page 1.
